This event takes place at Watch Rock Preserve (Joel Road off Route 156).
The Old Lyme Historical Society will talk about the preserves early history and how the trust came to acquire it. This is one of Old Lyme’s most beautiful preserves. With views along the rocky shoreline of the back river at the mouth of the Connecticut River.
An easy hike along the waterfront will follow the lecture for those interested in experiencing what the earliest inhabitants of Watch Rock knew and frequented.
