Super Natural Spring: Open Call for Youth Artwork (Final day to drop off art=March 30th)

Open call for artwork for the theme: Super Natural Spring

Any medium is encouraged; graphic design, recorded music, lyrics, creative writing, crafts, painting, drawing, digital illustration, poetry books, animations, and so on!

All works must be able to hang on a wall, or digital.

This art exhibit is not limited to just visual art. We are looking for ALL types of imaginative stories and images and sounds, but you must be able to demonstrate that your work is somehow related to the theme: Super Natural Spring.

The theme is up to you to interpret!
Maybe your artwork imagines a super natural world or character?
Or, what excites you about spring time?
Are you possibly writing a story about super heroes?
Do you have a message to share about the the idea of “natural” or nature?

FINAL day to submit is: MARCH 25, 2022 WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30!

To submit your work to the show, drop off up to three pieces any time during library hours before March 30. At drop off, you will be asked to fill out an photo release form and information about yourself and your work. This form must be completed for us to exhibit your work! You may also submit this information ahead of time, digitally using this form: form is linked here.

To submit digital illustrations, recorded music, animations, or any other work that is digital, please email your files to ndesis@oldlymelibrary.org

Exhibit will be up through June 30, 2022 (work must be picked up by July 9)

Open to artists age 18 and below

Submit up to three works total

We will ask each artist to record a short statement about the work they have submitted for the show, and ask permission to share on the library’s website and possibly social media.

If you have any questions about submitting, or if you need to borrow any materials or tools from the library in order to complete your work, please reach out to Nike, Teen Librarian, at ndesis@oldlymelibrary.org
